Welcome to JKS Brecon official website.
Formally known as Brecon SKC, JKS Brecon was founded by Sensei Derek Stockham, although we are one of the smallest clubs in Wales, JKS Brecon has been running for thirty sucessful years and has obtained a number of impressive titles, inlcuding 'The Most Successful Club in Wales' award in the KUGB Welsh Karate Championships 2012.
Our club is well known for and prides itself on creating a 'family atmosphere' both within the dojo and in competition.
We allow a 'first session free' for any new students thinking about joining. We also ensure that all new students are made to feel welcome within the dojo environment to guarantee enjoyment.
We at JKS Brecon have a small club saying; No Retreat, No Surrender. This saying represents all that we ask for of our students; simply to never give up and always give 100%.
However, this saying also has a very deep and personal meaning to Sensei Derek Stockham, Sensei Matt Stockham and Nikki Jayne Stockham, as it was Matt and Nikki's Grandfather, Derek's Father who used to say this before they fought in competition.
